Solids & Strokes
Solids & Strokes is an exploration into printing and its possibilities to create a diversity of colour combinations. Basic composition of solid rectangles and stroked rectangles are overprinted onto each other. A set of 16 colours is applied in 32 print runs. Based on a script like logic and matrix, the colours were combined systematically to achieve the biggest variety possible. This resulted in a series 200 cards and 8 posters, creating several series of tonal and multicoloured shades.
